Wow

I found a metal box that held so many cute pictures (really is is Charlie's and I will bring them it on Sunday) -- the time we all went up to the Olympic Mountains - Brad was with us and we had a blast.

Yesterday I ended up cleaning up the house and getting rid of some food (Freezer) and just plain old stuff. I am starting to get more excited about going, but know that in the next two weeks I have to go thru my house and sort and sort out so many things that need to go and things that I want to take with me in the car’s (too valuable to let go).

I am thankful for my kids and love them all very much. This has been the hardest decision I had to make my whole life – yes all 29 years of them. I know that Steve and I have made the right decision but my heart will be in the Northwest with my children. I am thinking that we will get that swimming pool up and running so that my future grandchildren can spend the summer with us (of course the parents can come too).

Today the sun is shining and I love it – love the fact that you can go outside and get some Vitamin D – I need it. I am sure I will have to use lots of sunscreen down south and need to be careful until my body get’s used to the weather.

Steve and I are very happy that we have a house to go to but at the same time really sad that we won’t be able to see Dorothy and George – (we are going to be living in their house) they both passed away this past year.

I know they would want Steve and I to go down South we both just wish they could be around to see it happen. We have fond memories of going to Aunt Dorothy and Uncle George's house – love you both and will take good care of your house – we promise.

Until later

LET the COUNTDOWN BEGIN -

Day One

We are having hot sausages on the grill – we need to use our beautiful deck as much as we can and utilize the sun even more. I heard today was going to reach 92 degree in Mississippi – will have to get used to that (although I know I will).

I went and saw Kelly L. and Gail D. today and had lunch – talk about the best co-workers in the world – love them dearly and will miss them. They made my time at MVP so much better and tolerable.

The house selling was a nightmare and I don’t recommend it to anyone – although we have a house pretty much set up down south – we still need to buy it. Let’s see if it goes a lot smoother.
Thankfully the Navy is moving us down and we don’t have to spend a dime – that does help so much – thank you Navy – (although Steve did work for you 24/7 for 26 years) – thank you.

Do you know how many subscriptions you have that you never think about changing addresses for? I found out – so now off to the computer to update all those magazines… Hope I get them all.

For now

Sabine

ADVENTURES

I decided to start my blog - notice that it is not as fancy as my daughter's Stephanie - but I will eventually get there.

I want to create this blog so that I can keep my family and friends of our up and coming adventure to new territory (at least for me anyway). It will be hard to leave the great Northwest and leave my friends and kids behind, but they all know that I will keep in touch and make a few trips up North.

Steve and I have reflected and agreed that this is the best plan for us. We are moving to Iuka, Mississippi - if you need to find the town - just look at the NorthEast of Mississippi where Tenanasee and Alabama conlid - you will find us there up in that corner on County Road 324.

We are both looking forward to moving down there and I will keep you updated on our adventure.
